Bio

Brian Soigné Wilson is a Visual and Performance Artist.  He lives in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn with his Husband Brad.  He attended The Art Academy of Cincinnati and Columbus College of Art and Design.  He is African American.  He draws and paints characters that come from a place he created called Zubenelganubi.  His performances bring his characters to life.  He creates portraits of himself, Brad (his Muse) and other interesting people like club kids and drag queens. Brian takes alot of photos.  He has shown his Art in many solo and group Art shows.  The Art shows at CBGB's Gallery are among his faves.  He draws inspiration from his toy collection, the colors he sees in the clouds, the cubist splendor of New York City and the Coney Island Spook-a-Rama.  His Art heroes are Keith Haring, Tim Burton, Wangechi Mutu and Dr. Seuss.  Brian AKA Soigné Deluxe has served nightclub Performance Art "Spectacles" for over three decades.  He designed the logo for the Bushwick Brooklyn Drag festival called BUSHWIG.  He was flown to Tokyo Japan to show off an adidas track suit that he hand-painted.  He did a portrait of Talk show host Ricky Lake and presented it to her on her TV show.  Brian cofounded a wearable Art brand called POOPIDOODLE NYC with Brad.  It features their Art and designs.  Brian was in an Art event called BTU ( Beyond The Uniform) that featured the Art of him and fellow Security Officers at MoMA.
